WOPRA started its initial activities in child protection and education for the orphan who lost their parents during the war and then extended their activities in the other section that children directly or indirectly affect. WOPRA commenced the first orphanage for the children with running primary and high school for the orphan children in Herat supporting almost thousands of orphans. The component of child protection consists of Nutrition, Education, Entertainment, Accommodation, Transportation and Vocational Training.
